Not a bad thought -- Seems like Piss-oli is sooo focused on the low round draft picks - as in 6th and 7th rounds - that perhaps he is not paying as much attention to the higher rounds - and that is why we have been drafting the likes of Tyson Jackson...

According to Josh Buchanan of JBScouting, the Kansas City Chiefs talked with California (PA) WR Thomas Mayo at last week’s East-West Shrine game.
Mayo is out of Division-II and it doesn’t look like he is being projected as a draft pick. He seems to be one of those diamond in the rough type players that a team might take a chance on in the seventh round or as an undrafted free agent. He’s listed at 6-1, 200 pounds.
I would expect the Chiefs might look at a lot more receivers like this. The team has a nice front line of Dwayne Bowe, Steve Breaston and Jon Baldwin, but after that, there isn’t much. Teams seem to be finding quality receivers late in the draft these days so it might not be bad for the Chiefs to snoop around for depth at the position this offseason. We all know Pioli loves a value.

| Report: Chiefs refuse to pay Haley the balance of his salary |

I suspect there is no "cause" for which the Chiefs could prevail in firing Haley; there are the "four corners of the contract", and that should be that. I would suspect that IF the Chiefs are not paying Haley, it very well could do with a confidentiality clause that they may maintain he broke... In other words: Babbs likely did Haley no favors when he ran the story and attributed the comments to him -- This likely cost Haley his money...
Indeed, this is the sh!ithole that once was America... No longer is there truth, standards, value and integrity... And in this regard, Haley was / is a fool... Had he had ANY BRAINS, Haley would have kept all documentation and indications of the charges that were leveled; since this likely would never see the light of day in that it would not end up in court, Haley would have the leverage to force a "settlement" with the Cheeps...
This is just another round of "bad bongos" from the Piss-oli administration... Who knows - He might be taking his cues from Washington...?!!!

Earlier this month, former Chiefs coach Todd Haley made waves by indicating a belief that the Chiefs bugged portions of the team facility and tampered with his cell phone. Haley’s next accusation could be a bit more tangible.
Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports 910 in Phoenix says via Twitter that he’s “[h]earing the Chiefs R refusing 2 play Todd Haley the remainder of his salary, was terminated 4 cause, another words 4 a specific reason.”
In something closer to English, this means that the Chiefs refuse to pay Haley because he was fired “for cause,” which means that the team believes there was some sort of wrongdoing or breach of his contract, which ran through 2012.
It’s not unprecedented, but it’s rare. The Raiders fired former head coach Lane Kiffin for cause, and the team eventually prevailed on the grievance filed by Kiffin with the league office.
That’s the procedure to which coaches agree when becoming coaches, sacrificing their right to sue in court and allowing any claims to be resolved by the league office, a forum that tends to be far more favorable to the 32 franchises who employ the Commissioner.
Given that Haley has worked for the Cardinals, and could soon be working for the Cardinals again, it’s hardly a stretch to ponder whether Haley is telling people like Jurecki that Haley has been stiffed. As with the allegations of bugs and cell-phone shenanigans, Haley should just make the claim, if he has a claim to make.
